THE NET NEUTRALITY

Tim Berners Lee,inventor of World Wide Web and MIT professor has said "The neutral communication is essential in our society.It is the basis of democracy,basis of science''.
The recent episode of zero rating in which big content and application provider has joined hands with Internet service provider(ISP s) to violate the principle of neutrality.
By this what will happen is the ISP will decide which site we should surf this is just because some site will open fast and will be more accessible than other.This will ultimately compel us to use that.It will start discriminating or charging deferentially by user,content,site,platform,application,type of attached equipment or mode of communications .

This will create mess,means how can a person know which all packs he should buy.A person can need something that is not in the pack he has bought so he has to get recharge that very pack first that can have access over it.This isn't cumbersome?
In a nation plagued with inequality,the internet has remained open ,free and fair a powerful equalizing force that has allowed good ideas to flourish whether they came from corporate board room or college hostel room.This equality opportunity is the core of Net Neutrality.

Discrimination based on Non-Net-Neutrality

• discrimination by protocol,the ISP can block or allow information based on communication protocol
• favoring private network,ISP can favor their own private network over other
• a tiered internet will be great for profit of  big Telecommunication companies  but terrible for entrepreneur.
• An Internet provider that offers its own phone service could block access to Skype.

If the government take the Net Neutrality,isn't it the violation of equality and rights!!!

Its important for access to knowledge,service,free speech,as well as freedom for doing business online irrespective of how big is your firm,for this the access is to be neutral.

• all sites should be accessible equally
• same speed for every sites
• same data cost for every sites

NET NEUTRALITY IS ABOUT;

• the ISP should not decide what we should see
• No gateways like(internet.org, airtel one touch internet ) and censorship
• No high speed for any specific sites
• making no site free,over other.

Act East:The Naga Accord

Its not only the Non state actors which have created the turmoil in the country.There are certain groups in our own country which has chosen the road of terror and violence when they found that their wishes are not attended .These groups are known as extremists.The country is facing the treat from sub-Nationalism,Naxalism,Insurgencies,Communal-ism.
Extremism is an ideologies perceived far outside the political center of the society.

Naga,a similar ethnic identity of people in the areas of Manipur,Assam,Nagaland,Arunachal Pradesh.It started with the idea of Naga Nationalism which later took the form of Naga Nation.
NAGA HAD two demands:

1)Political status: Naga were made part of India neither by Conquest,consent nor by accession.

2)Integration of Naga areas of(Manipur,Assam,Arunachal) in one political integrity.

These demands were put forward by the members of NNC  later splitted into: NSCN(IM) and NSCN(K).

It took more than six decades to have a peaceful accord.
What could be the accord:

1. On political side the federal structure is being renegotiated.To decide on the subjects of various lists,Union,state and concurrent.
2. Integration is still live but cannot be settled for now because no state would agree to lose out its territory.
3. Instead,Pan Naga council would be created in which the elected representative of Naga will look after cultural and financial aspect of Naga.  

Changing stand:

NSCN(IM),it is known to be the largest insurgent group of NE which was running a parallel government.The 1997 cease fire agreement was signed with this group only,not with any of the civil society.Earlier,this NSCN(IM) had completely disregarded the civil society.Over time it stared appreciating politics and democracy which eventually brought civil society on board by this group.

Why it took so long?

1)The govt, at Delhi now have full majority.

2)Period of seize fire of 1997 made people grow in peace and started developing their views on Sovereignty .

3)The new generation is getting educated.

4)Both India and Naga have stared understanding each other.

5)Next generation wants to be member of global village.

LOOK EAST now ACT EAST:

If you want to develop some region in the country you will have to negotiate with the Insurgents over there.Once settling peace accord with Naga will give good impression on the other insurgents that the government is willing to negotiate politically rather than militarily.This is only way when we can start nurturing Trade and Development.Its impossible to have trade and development when there are insurgents,land mines and bomb all around.So this peace accord would certainly develop the economy of east.

P.V. Narasimha Rao to Modi was actively involved in bringing peace.This accord gives great image that if this negotiation can come after sixty years than the other problems can certainly be dealt with.

CONSTITUTION IS NOT A DEAD WOOD !!

The attorney general had said Right to privacy is not a fundamental right.If it is true, than there is no Freedom Of Press in the country as it is also not mentioned in the constitution.As the press freedom is interpreted through Art.19(These include the freedom of speech and expression) of the constitution so is the Right to privacy from Art.21(Right to life and liberty).As per the various judgments, right to privacy was read as fundamental right relating to life and liberty and as per the various judgement it is considered not as a fundamental right.Because the constitution is no deadwood it is interpreted with the need of society and need of time.

AADHAAR AND PRIVACY:

The government has always been taking information in cases like Census,Driving license,Passport,Bank account,hospital record.So WHATS DIFFERENT WITH AADHAAR?
What is lacking in the case of aadhaar is'There is no law authorizing the government to collect these intrusive data'.Although not every policy can be backed by law,but those which effect the citizens life are needed to be backed.
How the government is going to be accountable for data collection,data storage,data protection when there is no law involved in it.

BENEFITS OF AADHAAR:

• For the first time the whole country was to come under one umbrella i.e, Universal Identity to Every Indian.
• It is going to be much easier for the polices and schemes to be implemented efficiently.
• One can easily avail benefits of the various schemes directly without the involvement of middlemen(Direct Benefit Transfer).
• Elimination of Bogus voters by Linking aadhar with Voter cards.

Truth and Non violence as a weapon against Terrorism

The principle of Truth and non-violence is a big deal to be used against Terrorism.But this not impossible,the colonial British took 200 long years to leave India.In the case of terrorism it may take centuries,but it has the capabilities to win the battle against it.Most important is to follow truth and non-violence like the way Bapu had said.
The blood of any organisation is money/capital.where does it come from? certainly, from bad means like smuggling,contribution of violent non state actors,money laundering,lack of transparency in fund raising,counterfeit currencies,etc.
Are these means from where the terror organization get funding follow truth and non violence,of course not.Had they followed there would have no reason to fight terrorism.Even today they start practicing the strongest weapon of Gandhi and Tagore.We can have a peaceful and terror free world.But this is not something to happen in hurry.These principles are tough enough to follow,but by huge practice it can be achieved.No sooner this is achieved there would be no financing agent to these terror groups.Ultimately it will fall.
In achieving this there is great role to be played by various countries like:
1)provide employment,evict poverty
2)no discrimination on the ground of religion,caste,creed,gender etc.
3)carry the policy of 'bring back home' like in case of naxalites,
4)make the people feel are equal in the eye of country.
No one is born terrorist,situation,circumstance or other reason compel to be so.
Why not remove the reason.
